![]() ![]() Obviously all of this is a huge pain in the ass-it's definitely easier to just put a cartridge in-but if you prefer having your games digitally like I do, or you want to save a few bucks (the game is around $60 to download from the HK eshop, which is likely cheaper than physical copies, depending on where you're looking), it's worth knowing that it is an option. So, if you’re familiar with the Project X Zone series, it’s a series of tactical RPGs developed by Monolith Soft and featuring characters from various IPs by SEGA, Capcom, and Bandai Namco. Once you receive it (it takes a minute or so after the transaction), enter the eshop on your Switch with the Hong Kong account you set up, select the appropriate option from the sidebar (I forget now which one it is, but there are only a few to check), punch in the code, and then the game will download on your Switch. An odd quirk in the Hong Kong eshop: You'll receive a download code via email (also available from your account page on the Hong Kong eshop) that you then have to enter on the Switch to download the game. When I tried to check out, I did receive an error message asking me to call my bank to confirm that the purchase wasn't fraud: I did so (it took about five minutes), and then was able to retry the transaction. ![]() Super Robot Wars V is here, for example: ![]() YMMV, but I didn't have luck buying via the Switch. This account will be able to access the Hong Kong eshop. You'll be able to play any games you purchase and download with this account on your main account, not to worry. Create a new account on your Switch and set its region to Hong Kong. (I couldn't get it to work with my Mastercard, for whatever reason.) Coincidentally, I did exactly this to buy Super Robot Wars V yesterday. Sorry to necro post, but I thought it was worth pointing out that it's pretty easy to set up a Hong Kong eshop account and check out using a Visa card. ![]()
